Kia Harlan is a mixed-media graphic designer, photographer, and artist based in Los Angeles, whose aim is to bring a human touch to every project, through the incorporation of analog techniques and poetic flair. Her 14 years of traveling and living abroad in Asia have fostered her love for culture, diversity, and trying new things, giving her a unique connection point with people. Growing up, Kia loved hosting tea parties, repurposing thrifted & found objects, and was never afraid to get her hands dirty in whatever new project she tackled. Through her array of skills spanning magazine layout, brand identity, set design, textile, and ceramic art, Kia hopes to harness ideas of fantasy into tangible products that bring delight and whimsy. Kia is currently working on a sequel to her first self-published magazine and dreams of having her own studio where she can continue fostering hospitality by creating immersive community spaces.
